MBCC is an alliance of business leaders and entrepreneurs building community.  It's core strategic goals are to:

 

Grow a strong, vital and united black business community

Create jobs in the community that result from the growth of it's member businesses

Promote business to business commerce with it's corporate partners and between it's member businesses

Influence legislation that affects our businesses and community

 

The chamber leadership works to

1) Support and maintain an effective chamber

2) Provide services to build strong members

3) Develop policy, advocacy, and strategic alliances to benefit it's members and the community.

 

MBCC offers mentoring relationships to NEON participants who may want additional support as they pursue their own business planning and/or expansion.  Through it's B2B Connnection iniative, the MBCC links black-owned enterprises with local, regional and national corporations to enable minority and women-owned businesses to serve as vendors, retailers, and service providers to businesses across Minnesota and beyond.  Small and mid-size enterprises are able to develop relationships with representatives from corporations, government and education institutions to enable MBCC member and constituent businesses to become successful suppliers in the global marketplace of commerce and ideas.  NEON participants do not need to be members of teh Chamber of Commerce to receive services.
